Dear Parents and Happy New Year!
Thank you for enrolling your children in Holy Cross Island School. Our placement policy is as follows. Priority placement is given to returning students and siblings of returning students for applications received from January 4-15, 2021. The deadline for priority placement is Friday, January 15, 2021. After placing the returning students and their siblings, remaining openings will be filled next by church members, then to families that withdrew in 2020-21 due to COVID-19 concerns, after that, those on the 2020-21 wait list, and finally remaining openings will be available to the public. If at any point there are more applicants than openings, a lottery will be used to decide placement. Please note that the director of HIS School has the discretion to balance the classes by gender.
A non-refundable registration fee (equal to 1-month tuition) must be paid in full to reserve your child’s place in the program. This non-refundable fee does not apply to tuition. Please do not submit payment for registration fees until you have been notified of your child’s placement. Acceptance letters will be sent via email the week of January 25-29, 2021. Registration fees will be due no later than Monday, February 8, 2021. Also, we intentionally do not collect monthly tuition in February from returning families so that we do not overburden your finances during enrollment. For Extended Day, a separate non-refundable registration fee (equal to 1 month extended day tuition) will be due to secure a child's spot in our Extended Day program. We highly encourage you to register for Extended Day at this time as this program is very popular and fills up quickly.
Tuition is paid either in full or in monthly payments. Monthly tuition payments will only be accepted by automatic bank draft from your checking/savings account, or by established recurring payments with your debit/credit card on the HIS School website. We do not accept checks or cash as a form of monthly tuition payment. Families wishing to pay monthly or annually with a debit/credit card will be charged a 3% processing fee per transaction. Families wishing to pay their child's tuition in full will receive a 5% discount for early tuition payment. These discounts do not apply to the Extended Day program. All enrolled families are required to either pay in full or set up one of these two forms of payments (monthly or annual) no later than August 1, 2021.
